Welcome to the Noble Middle School Band website!

Students should be practicing EVERY DAY, and be prepared to come in at lunch on their off days. Anyone needing to work on SmartMusic, make up a playing test, or just practice can come in during recess.

Parents that are interested in volunteering for the band program in any capacity should check out the Parent Volunteers link to see what opportunities are available. An e-mail has been sent to those parents who have expressed an interest in volunteering.

The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band, chorus, drama, and orchestra students are going to see High School Musical 3 at Mayfaire on Friday, Nov. 7. Permission slips and $9 are due by Oct. 28 in order to participate. Download the permission slip from the documents page.

If this is your first time on the program, please use your NCWise number as your password. Write your information down so you don't forget it!
You will be able to get SmartMusic at home for the reduced rate of $30 per year. Parents, click here to access the website and follow the instructions to get the program. It is an amazing program that makes practicing fun and it is HIGHLY recommended!

6th Grade:

In our books, we will continue on pages 5 and 6. We have tested on Hot Cross Buns. Don't like your grade? Come in at lunch and try again. I will take your highest grade.
  • Every student must have an instrument in class. You will easily fall behind if you are unprepared for class.
  • We have learned 5 notes! We are singing and playing "sol", "fa", "mi", "re", and "do".
  • Try making up your own 3 note song.
  • You have been given a 5-note fingering chart, plus a warm-up sheet. Bring these to every class along with your Essential Elements 2000 Book 1 for your instrument.
  • We have a performance coming up on October 23. We need to get moving in the book!
  • You will need to take your instrument home and practice at least 15-20 minutes every night. The amount of time will increase as you build endurance. Practicing is homework!
